I posted a quote recently that said, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself” from Coco Chanel.
You might have thought it’s a great quote, saying or sentiment, but do you really believe it?
Think about the things you put on your body to “make you feel better.” Scented body wash, scented lotion, makeup, perfume, stylish clothes, shoes, jewelry, scarves, etc.
When you choose these items for yourself, think about how they make you feel. We do our best work and are our best selves when we feel good about what we put out into the world. Do these things really represent who YOU are or are you following the crowd? Even if the things you like aren’t what the masses like, if they make you feel good–you’re on the right track!
Your best self will emerge when you embrace who YOU are and not what you’re supposed to be. Try to think of beauty in a different way than you have before. Beauty is so much more than what’s on the outside–it’s the mixture of your inside and the outside that you show the world. It’s NOT what walks down the runways or what you see in magazines (although these people CAN be beautiful), but they are NOT the only gauge of it.
Make YOU feel beautiful and others will see it, too 🙂
I found this great print on a super cute Etsy shop–check it out here!
